EventGator Launches Free Ticketing and Event Management for Festivals, Conventions and Live Events
Tickets, vendors, volunteers and crew run from one login, with ticket money going straight to each organizer's own Stripe account.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (November 3, 2026) EventGator launched today at eventgator.net. The new platform puts ticketing, vendor and artist applications, volunteer scheduling and crew access in one place, so an organizer can run the whole event from one login. Organizers can start free.
Most independent festivals and conventions run on a stack of separate tools: one site for tickets, a form builder for vendor applications, a spreadsheet for booths, another app for volunteer shifts and a group chat for the crew. EventGator replaces that stack with tools that share the same people, money and calendar.
Ryan Getz spent 20 years in live events, running festival operations at every level, from the box office to volunteer teams to artist advancing. Along the way he used just about every ticketing platform out there. He holds a degree in web development, and when the pandemic pulled him away from live events, he started building EventGator. Now he's back with one goal: to modernize and simplify event management and ticketing for the people who produce events.
"I've worked the box office, run volunteers and advanced artists, and I've used just about every ticketing tool out there," said Ryan Getz, founder of EventGator. "Most events still run on a pile of tools that don't talk to each other. EventGator is the tool I wanted back then. One login for the whole crew, and free to start, so a first-year event can use it the same way a big one does."
What organizers get:
- Ticketing: ticket types, promo codes, ticket transfers, refunds and QR code check-in at the gate.
- Vendors and artists: online applications with review and approval, plus booth assignment.
- Volunteers: sign-ups, shifts grouped by department with crew leads, and comp ticket rewards for volunteers who hit their hours.
- Crew: logins with role-based views, so the gate team, vendor coordinator and volunteer lead each see what they need.
- Checkout on the organizer's own website with embedded ticketing, and CSV export of attendees, orders and check-ins on every plan.
EventGator is free to start. Paid plans add more crew logins, more live events and tools like vendor applications, booth assignment and volunteer shifts. On paid tickets, EventGator charges 2.5% plus $0.79 per ticket, which the buyer pays by default. Free tickets are always free. Organizers connect their own Stripe account, so ticket money goes to them, not through EventGator.
EventGator is built for festivals, comic and anime conventions, card shows, makers markets, tattoo expos, psychic fairs and other live events. Organizers can sign up free or request a demo at eventgator.net.
